Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Australia
Upon arrival at Sydney’s modern Kingsford Smith International Airport you will be met by your driver and escorted to your centrally located hotel by private vehicle. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, to recover from the long journey and get a first taste of this exciting city.
Day 2 - Sydney City Tour
This morning you will enjoy a guided tour of Sydney. After meeting your guide in your hotel, you will visit the Royal Botanic Gardens, where you will take a short stroll and learn about some of Australia’s native flora. From here you can take that perfect photo of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
After driving through the lively neighborhoods of Kings Cross and Woolloomooloo, you will explore some of the beautiful secluded bays and see where the locals hang out. No visit to Sydney would be complete without a visit to the iconic Bondi Beach where you will see surfers and enjoy the local beach vibe before returning to the city for a brief stop in Chinatown on the way back to your hotel.
Day 3 - Your Day, Your Way in Sydney
Enjoy a day at your leisure to explore this vibrant city. There’s plenty to do, from strolling around the Circular Quay area, with its wide range of restaurants overlooking Sydney Harbour, to catching a ferry out to Manly Beach, where locals go for a day out. There’s great shopping here; look for Australian opals in the jewelry stores and definitely check out the original Aboriginal artwork in one of the many Aboriginal art galleries and maybe buy an authentic didgeridoo to take home with you.
Day 4 - Blue Mountains Tour
Today you will have an unforgettable experience touring the Blue Mountains. Approximately a two-hour drive west of the city, this world heritage site is named for the blue haze that appears from its eucalyptus trees. You will enjoy spectacular vistas of the amazing scenery as we get off the beaten track, as well as enjoying a bird’s eye view of the area from the Scenic Cableway and Scenic Skyway cable cars before traveling up the steepest incline railway in the world - the Scenic Railway.
Day 5 - Your Day, your Way in the Blue Mountains
Enjoy a day at your leisure in the Blue Mountains. There’s plenty to do here, from seeing some of the beautiful lookouts and waterfalls to exploring the many walking trails. If you just want to take it easy, enjoy a spa treatment or some fine dining at your hotel, or visit some of the delightful cafes and shops in the quaint villages nearby.
Day 6 - Fly to Hamilton Island
Situated in Queensland’s spectacular Whitsunday Islands and on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is a wonderful place to experience beautiful, quiet beaches, calm, warm waters, stunning underwater coral reefs and diverse nature. The Whitsunday Islands are a tropical paradise of powder white sand beaches and turquoise waters with undersea life on the nearby Great Barrier Reef unmatched anywhere else on Earth.
There’s plenty to do here, from sailing or motor boat excursions to the reef and spectacular Whitehaven Beach, to snorkeling, SCUBA diving, scenic flights by light aircraft or helicopter over the reef, seasonal whale watching, bushwalking trails and fun activities like quad-biking, go-karting and parasailing. Your hotel on Hamilton Island offers peace and quiet and solitude for you to do as much or as little as you like.
Days 7-10 - Your Day, Your Way on Hamilton Island
Spend your time as you please enjoying the pristine beauty of the island and its surroundings. We will be happy to offer suggestions for activities to suit your particular interests.
Day 11 - Depart for Home / Optional Extension
This morning you will be met by your driver and escorted to Cairns’ airport for your flight home, or to continue to another exciting part of Australia.
